Construction Engineering Field: Basic Knowledge of Steel!

Refers to the reinforced concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete steel, its cross section is generally circular, sometimes square with rounded corners. Reinforcement for reinforced concrete refers to the straight or coiled steel used for reinforced concrete reinforcement, and its shape is divided into smooth round reinforcement and ribbed reinforcement.

Reinforcement: refers to the steel used for reinforced concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete, and its cross section is generally circular, sometimes square with rounded corners. Reinforcement for reinforced concrete refers to the straight or coiled steel used for reinforced concrete reinforcement, and its shape is divided into smooth round reinforcement and ribbed reinforcement.
Delivery status: diameter 6, 8, 10mm is generally round, diameter more than 10mm is straight.

According to the chemical composition, rolling shape, supply form, production process, diameter size, and use in the structure of the classification, can be divided into many kinds. This time, we focus on the use of use to classify:

1. stress bar
Arranged in the lower part of a beam or plate. The part of the reinforcement that bears tension and the bending reinforcement that resists shear. Hanging bars, etc.
2. distribution bar
It appears in the slab, arranged on the upper part of the force reinforcement, perpendicular to the force reinforcement. The function is to fix the position of the stressed steel bar and disperse the load on the plate to the stressed steel bar, and at the same time, it can also prevent the cracks generated in the direction perpendicular to the stressed steel bar due to the shrinkage of concrete and temperature changes.

To meet the structural requirements, the various factors that are not easy to calculate and not taken into account, the set of structural reinforcement.
3. stirrup
It is used to meet the shear strength of the oblique section, and to connect the tensile main steel bar and the concrete in the compression zone to make it work together. In addition, it is used to fix the position of the main steel bar and make various steel bars in the beam constitute the steel bar skeleton. It is the ring reinforcement of the beam and column to resist the shear force, which fixes the upper and lower steel bars while resisting the shear force.

4. erection bar
It is the steel bar at the upper corner of the beam, which only plays a structural role and has no real significance, but the erection bars at the upper ends of the beam play the role of resisting negative bending distance.
5. through bar
Refers to the reinforcement that runs through the entire length of the component (such as beam, column), the middle is neither bent nor interrupted, when the reinforcement is too long, it can be overlapped or welded, but the diameter cannot be changed.

6. negative reinforcement
Is the negative bending moment steel bar, the bending moment is defined as the lower tensile is positive, while the upper steel bar at the beam slab position is generally the upper tensile according to the force at the bearing position, that is, to bear the negative bending moment, so it is called negative bending moment steel bar.
